Trident Paintkit
----------------

You will need a good knowledge of how to use the layers feature of advanced paint programs.

The files are provided as separate bitmap files, so that any paint program can be used.

The paintkit is based around the Trident 2, but files are also included for Trident 3 and Trident 1E.
Where applicable '_T3' or '_T1' has been added to the filename & this is a replacement file for that particular mark of Trident.

The final Trident 2 (& 1E) fuselage will need to be split into four 512x512 sized bitmaps.
The Trident 3 fuselage will need splitting into five 512x512 sized bitmaps.
The T3 model includes two separate fuselage plugs in the texture file 'TRI3FUSE_P', one is displayed before the 'TRI3FUSE_3' texture & one after.
Because of this, painting the T3 can be awkward, but it was the only way the T2 model could be easily extended to make a T3!
For all these 512x512 pixel fuselage textures, the outer two pixels (left & right) will not be displayed on the model & this should be accounted for when painting. It is usually only a problem where logos & titles spread across multiple texture files. You can look at some of the completed textures as an example.

Any large areas of yellow in the paintkit bitmaps are intended to be cut out (using a 'magic wand' tool) when you layer the files together.
Most other files are intended to be layered using a layer type of 'multiply'.
All shading, lines, dirt etc has already been balanced to give the correct tonal balance across the whole model.

Layers are intended to be added in this order (bottom layer first) :-
DETAIL, SHADE, LINES, DIRT

Files with 'ALPHA' in the name are for use as alpha channels to add reflections via 32-bit or DXT3 textures.
The file called 'ALPHA.bmp' is a general 'off white' alpha channel to apply to fuselage & tail to provide a subtle reflective surface.

You can repaint any of my models & upload to any FS site that makes them freely available to all.
I would prefer it if you upload textures only, rather than complete models.
